Be Kind, Rewind Ep. 15 – 2016 Summer Movie Wager

We didn’t get the chance to review High Rise this past week, but we have something even better. A game of wagers. The 2016 Summer movie wager that is. Join Jonathan, Alex and Dylan as they pick which movies will get the best box office numbers this summer and which ones will tank. Play along, and at the end of the summer there will be a recap episode prizes given out. Not really, but its going to be fun.

RULES

-We are going to pick the films that you think will be the top-ten grossing films of the summer, in order of box-office performance.

-Movies that release between May 1st and Labor Day (September 5th). Only box office numbers between that time will count. For example, a movie that comes out in August will only have until September 5th to make the domestic numbers that we are guessing.

-Domestic Box Office Only

-So what you will be doing is figuring out what 10 films will make the most money, and putting them in order of what you think they will gross at the box office.

-In addition to the top 10, you get to pick 3 “Dark Horses”- films you think might make it, but that you are not confident enough about to put into the top 10 proper.

-Winner of this wager gets bragging rights of course. We will do a recap after the season is over and see who won, if anybody.

SCORING

Getting number 1 or number 10 dead-on gets you 13 points (each).
The rest of the scoring goes like this:
10 points for numbers 2-9 in the order you put it in.
7 points if your pick was only one spot away from where it ended up.
5 points if it was two spots away
3 points if your pick is anywhere in the Top 10
1 point for each wildcard that makes it into the Top 10
